Note:  The Jets return home and will have a day off after they ended February with a tough 4-1 loss to the Penguins in Pittsburgh.  The team has the day off today.  Will return to practice tomorrow as they get set to kick off a five game home stand starting with the Panthers on Tuesday night.

Note II:  The Moose got loose last night as they put up seven goals for the first time this season.  Considering the flu is ravaging the team that is quite the feat.  Re-match goes today at 2 pm.

Jets news:

The Hockey News:  Getting to know Alexander Burmistrov.  Little Q & A with number 6.

Ottawa Sun:  Garrioch’s Sunday column. In his Off the Glass section says that the Jets are one of the teams “more than kicking tires” on Drouin.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets 2.0 still in search of first win in Pittsburgh.  It has proven quite elusive winning in western Pennsylvania since the Thrashers became the Jets.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets fall to the Penguins 4-1.  Full recap of all the action that took place.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets take turn for the worst.  They played a desperate for points Pittsburgh team pretty evenly in the 1st period but the start of the 2nd was anything but the way coach Maurice likely drew it up.

Sportsnet:  Hagelin shines as Penguins beat Jets in Malkin’s return.  It was the game Pittsburgh needed to play.

CBC:  The Winnipeg Jets and a little trade deadline speculation.  Just as the title of the article suggests a little bit of guesswork as the Jets get ready for Monday’s Trade Deadline.
