TSN:  That’s Hockey 2Nite.  (Video).  TH2N discusses the Jets locking up Dustin Byfuglien for the next five-years, but will their captain Andrew Ladd be next on the list for them to sign?  Craig Button sounds off.

Winnipeg Free Press:  ‘I’ll serve my one game and then move on’: Stafford suspended one game.  (Paywall).  I didn’t expect him to be suspended given his record but apparently the Department of Player Safety felt differently.

Winnipeg Sun:  What about the captain? Ladd situation moves to forefront for Jets.  Oh right.  There is still the other big UFA situation looming for Cheveldayoff and company.  Ken adds this to the conversation.

Winnipeg Sun:  Dustin Byfuglien commits to Jets long-term by signing five-year contract.  Ken is down in St. Louis and offers up this article on the signing.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets fans boffo for Buff.  The joy is back in Joyville.  Of course Jets are still not close to the playoffs but signing number 33 to this deal has fans forgetting that factoid for now.

Sportsnet:  Byfuglien deal sends Jets fans the right message.  I have yet to see any fans who are less than jubilant right now.  Peggers’ got some validation today that the city and franchise are not an impediment to signing a player to a deal without having to break the bank.
