Note II:  The Moose had a less than easy beginning to this six game home stand facing a power house Toronto Marlies team that demolished Manitoba 6-2 last night.  Moose will practice today and they have a re-match tomorrow night at the MTS Centre.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Repeat offender Burmistrov fined $2,000 for diving.  (Paywall).  Becoming something of a pattern for this group.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Scheifele is working to adapt his game to speedy Wheeler and Ehlers.  (Paywall).  Scheifele is a student of the game and is trying to fit in with his new line.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Maurice unlikely to put Pavelec back in goal… yet.  (Paywall).  Three goalies in a two goalie world.  Plenty of questions with what the Jets bench boss will do with all these netminders.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Attitude adjustment needed to keep Jets aloft.  The loyalty word is a strong one and the article deals with it from the top of the organization and the trickle down impact it had on Winnipeg.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets look for positives.  Hard to be a cockeyed optimist but if Billy Mumphry could do it while mixed up in the high stakes game of world diplomacy and international intrigue then why can’t the Jets players see the positive in the games they are playing.
