Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Single goal against Preds shows offence still sputtering.  (Paywall).  While the team felt like they had plenty of A+ chances the fact is they continue to fail to put the puck in the net which makes winning somewhat difficult.  Despite the fact that the goal scored by rookie Nikolaj Ehlers was a pretty one the team needs way more scoring if they hope to get any points during this home stand.

Winnipeg Free Press:   Injury-ravaged Jets fritter away chance to gain ground on Preds. (Paywall).  Being one point back of the Predators was within the grasp of the Jets but instead they find themselves five back of Nashville after last night’s loss.  And that playoff line is moving farther and farther away.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Troublesome issues threaten Jets’ season.  (Paywall).  Plenty to digest in this article from former NHLer who now writes for the paper and who turns his focus on the Jets bench boss.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Will Jets be buyers or sellers come NHL trade deadline?  (Paywall).  In this video episode of “White Noise” reporters Ed Tait and Paul Wiecek break down whether the Jets will be buyers or sellers come NHL trade deadline Feb. 29; Is goaltender Connor Hellebuyck the real deal?; as well as a guest appearance from Jets play by play announcer, Dennis Beyak.
