Metro News:  Jets’ playoff hopes on life support.  Hustler writes about the Jets playoff hopes, the All-Star snubs and the return of Kane/Bogosian.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Uproar over Wheeler being shut out of annual NHL farce not worth energy.  (Paywall).  Not sure many players are going to be too upset about getting five days to spend with their family instead of heading to this event.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Byfuglien named to NHL all-star team.  (Paywall).  One of the only times you will hear the big man request to play forward.

Winnipeg Sun:  Byfuglien’s last stand?  Will this be his last All-Star game or just his last All-Star game wearing a Jets jersey?

Winnipeg Sun:  Blake Wheeler, in midst of best season, shrugs off All-Star snub.  #26 surely didn’t sound too crushed by the snub.

Illegal Curve:  Brendan Lemieux named OHL Player of the Month.  Quite a month of December for the young gun.

Moose news:
