Jets news:

NCAA: NCAA Stars of the Week.  Jets Kyle Connor had a strong two games for Michigan after being snubbed by Team USA.

Sportsnet:  30 Thoughts – Why the Jets face painful personnel choices.  Starts with Jets and then goes player by player in points 1, 2 and 3.

Winnipeg Free Press:  More ice for Trouba.  (Paywall).  Part of the problem when you have a plethora of excellent D men is trying to find them all enough ice time.  This is one way to ensure that your top guys get more time.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Rugged Blues bring out the beasts in Jets.  (Paywall).  These are usually very gritty contests between these two squads.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Ladd, Byfuglien, Trouba asking Jets for $152M in contracts.  Tim stirred up a lazy Monday with this story of the kind of money these three Jets may be using as their starting point in negotiations.  This summer Richard provided his analysis as to the fair market value of Dustin Byfuglien and Andrew Ladd (looks like their agents may have used Richard’s numbers as a starting point).

The Score:  Agent denies Trouba initially asked for 8-year deal worth over $56M.  For what it’s worth Trouba’s agent is denying that his client was looking for those numbers.

Winnipeg Sun:  Thorburn to join Kovalchuk.  He has been a heart and soul type player for this franchise for quite some time.

TSN 1290 Winnipeg:  Hustler & Lawless.  Voice of the Jets, Dennis Beyak, joins Hustler & Lawless to discuss tweaks Paul Maurice has made to the Winnipeg Jets blueline. Beyak also says the Jets have turned around their play after a heavy November schedule.
