Note:  After what has felt like quite some time we return to the MTS Centre for the first of seven home games this December.  Jets and Leafs get underway at 6:30 pm.  We will be covering the game and as always stay tuned to illegalcurve.com and on social media including Twitter| Facebook | Instagram for pre and post game news.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Maurice says attempt to boost Jets offence caused club to stall.  (Paywall).  Sometimes when you tinker with your ticker you are gonna stress the system.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Chiarot gets his old job back.  (Paywall).  The young defenceman didn’t have time to be complacent last season and it sounds like he realizes that he cannot afford to do that this year either if he wants to have a regular spot on the roster.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets players tune out Hamonic trade rumours.  (Paywall).  No point in tuning in as the noise can only serve as a distraction.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets bar set too high?  Paul spoke with a number of players about the idea of expectations and how realistic they were coming into this season.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets try to block out Byfuglien trade talk.   Many fans and players wants to see big #33 wearing a Jets jersey for the foreseeable future.

Sportsnet:  30 Thoughts.  Thoughts 4 and 5 are about Byfuglien.  29 is about a potential outdoor game.

Illegal Curve:  Jets Practice Report.  Taking a look at the lines that coach Maurice used yesterday at the MTS Centre along with audio from Blake Wheeler, Mathieu Perreault and Ben Chiarot.
