Note:  After a four day layoff the Jets hit the ice for a big game against the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight.  Puck drops at 7 pm at the MTS Centre as Winnipeg looks to rebound from the 4-2 loss last Sunday to the Blues.  We will be covering the game and as always stay tuned to illegalcurve.com and on social media including Twitter | Facebook | Instagram for pre and post game news.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets coach Paul Maurice can identify with Lightning’s Jon Cooper.  After a short summer due to reaching the Cup finals, coach Maurice talks about how hard it is to get ready quickly to start another season.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Hapless Moose come up empty, again. (Paywall).  You knew they were in trouble when they didn’t record a shot until there was five minutes to go in the 2nd period.

Winnipeg Sun:  Moose lose to Lake Erie Monsters.  Armia was certainly a bright spot of offence for this Manitoba team last night.
