Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Canucks take down Jets at Youngstars.  Doesn’t sound like it was the best game for the Jets prospects who hope to rebound today with a game against the Oilers prospects.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets not living up to the hype.  While they haven’t won a game and haven’t scored many goals it is probably a smidge early to be hitting the panic button.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Flat start for dynamic Ehlers.   Taking the optimistic point of view his performance can only improve from what we’ve seen the last couple of games.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets hope D-man Serville one of those late bloomers.  Winnipeg is certainly a comfortable place for members of the Wolverines squad.  Will be interesting to see how Serville does with the Moose this year.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Will Lemieux be best as a pest?  It certainly worked for his dad.  Is it a role that serves his skill set best?

Winnipeg Free Press:  Slick playmaker Petan prepared to produce.  When you watch him live you cannot help but marvel at the talent he possesses.

Winnipeg Sun:  Canucks crush Jets but Hellebuyck stands tall.  Ken break down the loss and details how the Jets goalie stood tall despite the loss.

Winnipeg Sun:  No defence for Jets offence.  Not many saw scoring goals as an issue for these prospects but so far they have been few and far between.

TSN:  Playoff success not a given. (video).  Bob McKenzie chats with Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff about not having to deal with the Evander Kane distraction, building on their playoff appearance, who he is counting on to battle for the ninth forward spot and more. (31 minutes).

TSN:  Which young guns have impressed in Penticton? (video).  Talking about Ehlers and Morrissey starting at the 1 minute mark until 2:24.

NHL.com:  Hellebuyck pushing for time in net.  Lots of fans hope he will be the future goalie for Winnipeg but while he will be playing in the city it is likely for the AHL squad.  Having said that he sounds like he is ready to challenge for a spot with the big club.
