Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Armia stunned by deal that saw Sabres ship him to Winnipeg.  But the Finn sure sounds ready to take advantage of this new opportunity.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Hellebuyck drawing all kinds of attention at Jets camp.  He certainly has Jets fans eagerly awaiting his arrival in the NHL.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Moose coach thinking ahead.  Many of these prospects will be running through coach McCambridge’s system so it will be worthwhile for him to keep tabs on the progress they make in development camp.

Winnipeg Sun:  Copp has tools that can’t be taught.  Sure seems like he has a good chance to be up with the big boys in the NHL next season although some thought it made sense to give him a little seasoning before exposing him to that level of play.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets prospect Poolman happy to be back at D.  We heard quite a few good things about Poolman last season and he could prove to be an interesting player moving forward for the Jets.

Winnipeg Sun:  Petan’s best offence for making NHL: A good defence.  Watching him on day 1 of camp it was clear he has the offensive skills/touch but Jets brass have to be happy that he is focused on developing a two way game.

Illegal Curve at Development Camp Day 2:

Group B scrums: Tucker Poolman and Nic Petan.

Coach McCambridge scrum:  The Moose bench boss spoke to the media about development camp.
