Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Latest Jets news.

Note:  The first of four at home goes tonight against Montreal.  If there is one ray of sunshine it is that the Jets won’t have to face Carey Price as Habs coach Therrien announced yesterday that Dustin Tokarski would start.  Many fans are wondering if we will see a return of Dustin Byfuglien or Bryan Little tonight and we will have a better idea once the morning skate begins around 10:30 am.  As always keep it locked to @illegalcurve for the latest Jets news.

Games of significance last night:  Flames lost (SO).

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets need Byuglien, Little now.  Someone asked us about Byfuglien’s status and I looked back at the timeline.  Coach Maurice announced the injury on the 6th, Buff was back on 16th practicing in regular jersey but by 18th we were told he had plateaued (not regressed).  If he plays today it would be about three weeks after the original announcement of 2-4 weeks.  Regardless of the above the Jets absolutely need Byfuglien and Little back as soon as possible.

CBC:  Where do the Winnipeg Jets stand in their playoff push?  Mitch breaks out the telestrator for this video.  Also writes about a number of topics in this article including: 1) Tough path ahead 2) Road test 3) Finale and 4) The competition.

Yahoo Sports:  We’re a little worried about Winnipeg.  The playoff death watch has turned its focus on the Jets.

ESPN:  Potential first-round mismatches. (Registration Required).  The article is behind a paywall but discusses the idea that the Jets could be a tough challenge if they face the Ducks.
