Note: It was a rough outing in D.C. last night as the Jets took too many penalties and ended up on the receiving end of a 5-1 steamrolling by the Capitals. They will practice in Toronto today as they get ready to face the Leafs on Saturday night on HNIC. Toronto plays in Carolina tonight.

The Jets went into the game knowing how lethal the Capitals power play was and yet they still took penalties that coach Maurice was clearly not happy with.

CBS Sports: Eye on Hockey – Backstrom scores on rare 4-on-1 against Jets (video). It was like watching a cat play with a mouse as neither Enstrom nor Pavelec had much of a chance as the Capitals passed it around before Backstrom deposited the puck in the net.
