When Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff was asked on Monday about the status of Josh Morrissey he simply indicated that his top defenceman was day-to-day (upper-body) but deferred to what his bench boss Paul Maurice would have to say following morning skate in Washington.

Maurice was asked today for an update on Morrissey, who didn’t take part in the morning skate at Capital One Arena, he said “He’s out again today.  We’ll get him checked out tomorrow when we get back.”.  Confirmed that he is “day-to-day”.

Morrissey has five goals and 24 assists in 61 games for the Jets this season.
