Kevin Cheveldayoff, General Manager of the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club, has issued the following statement today in regards to centre Jim Slater:
“Jim Slater underwent successful hip labrum surgery yesterday to repair an issue that was diagnosed following the season. The surgery was performed by Dr. Bryan Kelly at the The Hip Preservation Center in New York. It is anticipated Jim will make a full recovery in time for training camp in September.”
