Logan Stanley didn’t play in Boston on Saturday and it was presumed that he was a healthy scratch. Today before the game in Pittsburgh during warm up skate it was noted that Dylan DeMelo wasn’t skating.
During the TV broadcast Dennis Beyak announced that Stanley was dealing with an upper-body injury and that DeMelo was out with a lower-body injury.
Following the game interim head coach Dave Lowry added this:
“We’ll evaluate them this week and we probably will have an answer for those guys tomorrow.”
If the Jets need a right shot defenceman perhaps they give 2017 3rd rounder Johnny Kovacevic his first shot in the NHL. He scored his seventh goal of the season (tied for lead in AHL among Dmen) in an improbable win for the Moose this afternoon. He’s big (6’5), mobile and ready for a shot with the big club.
