The Jets announced that Tyler Myers was coming off IR and they had re-assigned Julian Melchiori back to the Manitoba Moose. Following this we got an injury report with coach Maurice providing an update on the status of some of his players:
Joel Armia & Shawn Matthias:
“I would confirm that he (Armia) is not coming back anytime soon.”
“Armia and Matthias are going to be mid to late December, possible early in January. I can’t give you a better number because we don’t know how they are going to heal over the next month.”
Bryan Little & Drew Stafford:
“If all goes well over the next three or four days will get back on the ice. Little is further out than Stafford.”
Mathieu Perreault:
“Is still day-to-day but we are waiting for the day that he feels that he can get back on the ice. We don’t think after he gets back on the ice it is a whole lot longer then, but we can’t get him out there right away.”
Update (November 9th): “Still day-to-day. We are not getting a lot of forward motion on this thing so he hasn’t made a tremendous amount of progress. He won’t be in the lineup tomorrow.”
