Jets defenceman Logan Stanley has been out of the lineup since the game against the Stars on November 9th. The team had left Winnipeg to head to New York but the big Dman had been left behind after suffering a mid-body injury.
Before the team left on their road trip back on November 18th I asked head coach Scott Arniel for an update wherein he indicated that Stanley would be on the road trip but the expectation was he wouldn’t skate for four or five days.
As Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press documented Stanley was in yellow, non-contact as of two days ago and then today in L.A. he had shed that for a regular jersey.
After skate Scott Arniel was asked for the latest to which he indicated:
“He’s getting closer and closer. He did some battle drills in Minny after morning skate. Do a little bit more today. Got a practice tomorrow and then we’ll see where it’s at from there. This is kinda, sorta the heavy lifting stuff now we want to see him do and see where he’s at.”
Of course once he’s ready to return the question is will he and Ville Heinola form a one game in, one game out rotation or will he have to wait as Heinola may get some runway to show the team what he’s got.
