We haven’t really seen any of the injured Jets players on the ice with their teammates. As we wrote about yesterday in the Practice Report the guys out are: Neal Pionk (last update on February 24th) who remains on IR as well as Vlad Namestnikov who was never placed on injured reserve but was declared week-to-week back on February 28th. Nino Niederreiter is also still on IR after having surgery but we aren’t expecting any updates on him for awhile and we learned last Thursday that Colin Miller had suffered a setback and was back to week-to-week status.

Following morning skate here were the updates from head coach Scott Arniel as his team gets set to face the Ducks:
“Neal and Millsy are kinda on a day, or one or two days on and then taking a couple of days off but they’re still a little ways away. Nino and Vladdy got on the ice today for the first time but that was just pushing pucks around, getting a feel for the puck, they’re still a ways away too.”
So that’s the latest on the health front.
Leaves the Jets with just 12 healthy forwards and seven healthy defenceman for the near future. The Moose are in Abbotsford for the next couple of days and then in Calgary on Friday until Sunday in case there is a need for a recall.
