A week ago the Jets unexpectedly recalled Jaret Anderson-Dolan from the Moose after he had cleared waivers and placed him on IR retroactive to October 2nd as he was clearly dealing with something and when it was determined he had an injury this necessitated a recall as you can’t send down a player who is injured.
All we knew was in the preseason he got hit by a shot in the game on October 2nd and that the next day head coach Scott Arniel advised that he was pretty sore and swollen up. He would be placed on waivers on October 6th and cleared them the next day but as indicated above he was recalled on October 8th.
Today after skate bench boss Scott Arniel was asked for an update on the Alberta product and he indicated that he suffered a broken foot when he blocked a shot in the exhibition game. He isn’t yet on the ice and is in a walking boot. “We’re not even close on that one yet.” Here is the video with him:
At least now we have a bit more clarity on the issue.
