Winnipeg Jets head coach Rick Bowness says Cole Perfetti is ten days to two weeks away

An update on the rookie.

Jets rookie Cole Perfetti has been with the team for a bit and skating in a red, non-contact uniform. Generally speaking that means no contact although today in Vegas at practice Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press indicated that the rookie was “labouring after taking a pretty good accidental bump from Dylan DeMelo during a drill”.

After practice Jets bench boss Rick Bowness was asked about it.

“Ya he got bumped out there accidentally. That’s why he’s in red. But he turned and just bumped into one of our guys. That’s when I sent him off the ice.”

Mike did add that Perfetti “stayed out for extra work” and didn’t head to the room early.

Bowness concluded his comments on the rookie saying:

“Listen he’s ten days, two weeks away.”

Ten days could mean he potentially could be back for game 5 or game 6.
