The Jets have been limited to just two games with the service of Nikolaj Ehlers so far this season. While the Jets have done more than survive without his services, currently sitting in first place in the Central, you know they are looking forward to his return to the ice.
The Dynamic Dane was kept off the ice last week for cautionary reasons as the team was trying to be careful not to rush him back too quickly. Today following practice Jets head coach Rick Bowness was asked for an update on number 27:
“If he shows up tomorrow like he feels today he’s going to skate tomorrow. So he’ll try tomorrow. As long as he shows up like he did today.”
As mentioned above Ehlers has just played in two games to start the season. He had three assists in those two contests.
This latest assessment would appear to be good news for the player and team.
Coming out of retirement at 70 to take control of another bench.

After making his pro debut in the ECHL he is heading up to the AHL.
