Winnipeg Jets have reassigned Ville Heinola from the Manitoba Moose to the taxi squad

We found out yesterday the rules the NHL and NHLPA have put into place for having taxi squads until the NHL All-Star game and now we know the first player put on it for Winnipeg as the team announced Ville Heinola has been reassigned from the Manitoba Moose (AHL) to the taxi squad.

Heinola has had an excellent season with the Moose to date. In 20 games with Manitoba he has two goals and 12 assists and he has garnered a lot of praise from head coach Mark Morrison (listen here at 4:30 mark) and assistant coach Eric Dubois (listen here).
