Winnipeg Jets have assigned Brenden Lemieux to the Manitoba Moose

It comes as little surprise that the move was made as Brendan Lemieux tweeted this yesterday:

“Would like 2 thank everyone who helped me have an amazing 4 yrs of junior hockey I will forever cherish the memories from Barrie and Windsor”

This morning the Jets announced that they had assigned Lemieux to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.  Manitoba has four more games at home this week and then close out the season with two games in Texas.

In 209 games with the Barrie Colts and Windsor Spitfires he had 106 goals and 83 assists for 189 points as well as 407 penalty minutes.

The team also announced that they have recalled Brendan Kitchton to the Jets.

Manitoba plays tomorrow night against Milwaukee at the MTS Centre.  Puck drops at 7 pm.
