Winnipeg Jets goalie prospect Thomas Milic loaned to Team Canada for the Spengler Cup

It’s been a busy five months since the Winnipeg Jets drafted goalie prospect Thomas Milic at the 2023 NHL Draft. He came to Winnipeg for Development Camp, played in the Young Stars Tournament, went through Jets training camp, was assigned to the Moose, participated in their training camp, then to the ECHL and has played games in both the AHL for Manitoba and ECHL for Norfolk.

And now he is heading to Davos, Switzerland to participate in the Spengler Cup with Team Canada as per the AHL transactions report which shows he was recalled by the Moose today and loaned to Team Canada. The Spengler Cup runs from Dec 26th until Dec 31, 2023.

He is having a fantastic season in Norfolk where he is 9-2-2 with a .910 save % and a 2.44 GAA. He has also played in four games for the Moose in the AHL with a win and a loss to his name.
