Winnipeg Jets goalie prospect Mikhail Berdin’s KHL rights traded from SKA to Sochi

We wrote this exact headline back on December 15th, 2020 and it is relevant again almost two years later as goalie prospect Mikhail Berdin will be heading to Sochi according to reports today. Apparently in May of 2022 SKA reacquired Berdin’s rights which is why they were able to deal them back to Sochi today. Quite the ping-pong game with Berdin between these two clubs.

It was announced at the beginning of this month that Berdin would not be staying in North America but the Jets would retain his rights and he would be able to sign with a team in the KHL.
