Winnipeg Jets goalie Anton Forsberg claimed off waivers by Senators

When the Jets claimed Eric Comrie back off waivers from New Jersey last month it seemed that it was only a matter of time before Anton Forsberg, who they had claimed off waivers when Comrie was claimed in mid January, would be put back on waivers to clear up a spot on their 23-man roster.

Forsberg was placed on waivers by the Jets on Tuesday and today we learned from Chris Johnston of Sportnet that he was claimed by the Senators.

He spent two months with the Jets practicing but didn’t see any game action.
