The 2022-23 season for the Winnipeg Jets ended with a bang and not because of how they lost in game 5 to the Vegas Golden Knights. That was more of a whimper as the end of that saying goes. The bang came in the form of the comments from head coach Rick Bowness who was clearly very upset about his team’s performance in that game but also during the season. He has walked those comments back a bit in his end of season media while the players used their media avails to push back strongly on his words.
There was uncertainty if there would be sweeping changes to management or the coaching staff but Darren Dreger yesterday on TSN said those are not expected and then Elliotte Friedman last night on the Sportsnet broadcast confirmed that Kevin Cheveldayoff would be returning as GM next season.
