There were lots of questions after a fiery but brief post-game 5 media availability for Jets bench boss Rick Bowness as to how that could impact his ability to coach this Winnipeg club next season.
The bench boss walked back his comments somewhat on Saturday during his end of season media availability.
Today in his end of season media availability Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff was asked about job security for the head coach he hired last summer.
He confirmed the Maritimer would be back behind the bench for the 2023-24 season. Rick Bowness signed a two-year deal with an option for a third year. The 2022-23 season was the first year of that deal.
We learned last night from Elliotte Friedman that Cheveldayoff himself would be back next year for his 13th time at the helm of this club.
