The Jets get mired in the swamp as the Devils stop their win streak at three games with a 3-1 win. They will remain in a three-way tie with the Avs and Stars for top spot in the Central with 93 points.

Notable:

Tyler Toffoli played in his 800th NHL game.

Neither side scored in the opening period of play but unlike the last game it was NOT an entertaining 20 minutes of play.

After the Jets gave up the opening goal of the game on the power play (which was a theme in this hockey game), Nikolaj Ehlers scored an absolute video game goal to tie it.

The Devils were the better team with the man advantage as mentioned below scoring twice more in the 3rd period on the power play.

Jets wasted a good effort from Laurent Brossoit who made 37 saves in this contest.
