Following the Jets loss to the Senators we had an opportunity to speak to the newest member of the squad.  Brandon Tanev who finished his college career with the Providence College Friars was signed to a one year, two-way deal yesterday by Winnipeg.

Quotes:

On becoming a member of the Jets: “the opportunity to play in a Canadian market is something I’ve dreamed about..”

What does he hope to show if he gets a chance to play: “my strengths as a player are my speed, my work ethic and my tenacity.  Just kinda getting into the forecheck, being physical when I can…”

What sold him as this being the spot for him:  “My agent helped me along just looking at the organization itself. I definitely felt Winnipeg was the place I needed to be.”

I also appear on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show every Saturday on our YouTube channel as well as the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show after every single Jets game. And I occasionally jump in the play-by-play booth at Canada Life to provide colour analysis during Manitoba Moose games.
