Jets lose 3-2 to the Avs which is not good for their playoff push which is especially tough given Nashville lost in regulation which means they remain five points back of the final wild card spot with just ten games remaining in the regular season.

Notable:
The first ever draft pick by the Jets 2.0 Mark Scheifele became the all-time games leader for any Winnipeg Jets franchise as he played in game 951 this evening putting him one ahead of former captain Thomas Steen.
Speaking of number 55, he had quite the rocket as Scheifele got his 33rd goal of the season, tying his career high with 87 points (in ten fewer games). Kyle Connor reaches the 50-assist mark for the second time in his career.
Scheifele would add another goal to get to 34 on the season which sets his new career high in points with 88. He remains on pace to crack 100 points in the season which would make him the first ever Jets player to do so.
Gabriel Vilardi, who had an assist on the second goal, was playing in his 72nd game of the season which set a new career high for him.
