Winnipeg Jets extend Cole Koepke on a two-year deal

While the Jets UFA signings last July weren’t very successful with the exception of Minnesotan Cole Koepke who had a slow start with Winnipeg but then got going in his second full NHL season.

He has fit into the locker room easily and on the ice has had a positive impact. After not scoring in the first 17 games he ended up with eight goals and nine assists in 66 games.

This two-year extension makes a lot of sense for both sides. It’s worth 1.45 million AAV.
