A frustrating evening for the Jets came to an end with the Hurricanes winning by a 4-2 margin. Jets slip to 44-17-4 on the season and by virtue of the Capitals win today will drop to 2nd overall in the entire NHL.

For Jets captain Adam Lowry it was his 14th goal of the season which puts him one back of his career high of 15 which he set during the 2016-17 season in 82 games. He is also one point shy of hitting 30 points for the third straight year.
