Winnipeg Jets don’t make any moves on Trade Deadline day

Winnipeg stands pat on Deadline Day.

The sound of the 3 pm ET whistle bell has gone off and the Winnipeg Jets have not made any moves on Trade Deadline day.

Adam Pardy was claimed by the Edmonton Oilers but technically that began yesterday when he was placed on waivers.  So fans will largely see the same team they have been watching the last few weeks with the exception that Marko Dano replaces Andrew Ladd, Paul Postma replaces Adam Pardy and according to coach Maurice we may see some of the Moose players called up.

Some fans thought there may be a more or two to add draft picks for the upcoming 2016 Entry Draft in Buffalo.  The Jets have seven picks this year (with two in the 1st round and none in the 3rd).

Upcoming players with contract issues:

UFAs:  Matt Halischuk, Grant Clitsome.
RFAs:  Michael Hutchinson, Jacob Trouba, Adam Lowry, Mark Scheifele and Joel Armia.

Pretty clear that Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff is going to have some work during the off season.  He will be speaking to the media soon and we will have that audio for you later on site.

How do you feel about the Jets standing pat?
