Winnipeg Jets defenceman Neal Pionk skating with his teammates in L.A. as he works way back from injury

The Minnesotan is back on the ice.

Just three days ago the update on Jets defenceman Neal Pionk via head coach Scott Arniel was:

“Nothing yet on going on the ice. He’s doing a lot more off ice, the weight room type stuff. He’s getting closer. He’s getting a lot closer.”

With the team hitting the ice in Los Angeles where they will start their three-game road trip this evening against the Kings the team posted this video of the Minnesotan hitting the ice with his teammates:

We shall have to wait and see if there is an update from the bench boss but a good sign he’s back on the ice. He’s been out of the lineup since March 11th dealing with a lower-body injury which was labelled week-to-week that we learned was something that had been nagging him and they finally decided to deal with it.

After skate Arniel, who indicated it was his first time on the ice, was asked if there was a timeline update. He said

“No. That was the first time he started skating. Now it’s all conditioning and feel.”

So that’s the latest as number 4 works on his conditioning.
