Winnipeg Jets defenceman Dustin Byfuglien granted leave of absence

The Jets will be without 33 to start training camp.

Ahead of the start of training camp here in Winnipeg to kick off the 2019-20 season the Jets have announced that veteran defenceman Dustin Byfuglien has been granted a personal leave of absence from the hockey team.

That is the extent of what has been said.  Perhaps Jets coach Paul Maurice or GM Kevin Cheveldayoff will shed more light as they were both set to speak this morning at the IcePlex.

Regardless we hope all is well with Dustin Byfuglien and his family.
