For the first time in nearly two months the Jets have back-to-back wins as they defeat the Devils 4-3 picking up their 10th victory at home. Most importantly the 2nd and 4th lines are becoming regular contributors on the scoresheet.

Notable:
For most of the first period the biggest topic of discussion was my not knowing the difference between Sydney Sweeney and Tate McRae.
Defenceman Colin Miller was shaken up after going into the boards. He needed help to the bench and then went down the tunnel.
Eventually a game started and it began with the Jets opening the scoring with 1:10 left in the 1st with Alex Iafallo scoring a plinko type goal. The lead lasted all of 37 seconds as the Devils tied it up quickly thereafter.
Miller came on the ice ahead of the start of the 2nd period, tested it and went back down the tunnel. He was ruled out for the rest of the game with a lower-body injury by the team.
Winnipegger Cody Glass gave the Devils a 2-1 lead early in the 2nd. The Glass family with a big cheer for him from section 122. They would have reason to cheer again later that period as he got his second of the game.
Before Glass got his second, it was the Jets who struck back quickly. Jonathan Toews with a nifty pass to send Cole Perfetti all alone but it doesn’t end up in the back of the net. However 19 drove the net and he put it home to tie the game. Back-to-back games with a goal for the Winnipegger.
It looked like New Jersey was set to regain the lead shortly after they tied things up but the Connor McDavid of video coaches Matt Prefontaine with a successful challenge as the Devils appeared to take the lead less than a minute after the Jets had tied it up.
With the Jets trailing courtesy of the second Glass goal, we saw a heck of a move by Cole Perfetti to drive the net. I initially thought he had scored but he hadn’t. Gabriel Vilardi sure did. His 18th of the season to tie the game.
Just the way it’s going for Nino Niederreiter during this stretch.
A fourth line that is scoring…..Tanner Pearson give the Jets a 4-3 lead with his sixth of the season. Danny Zhilkin that close to his first NHL point.
Winnipeg started the final frame on their toes holding an 8-1 shot edge over New Jersey and didn’t give up their first shot of the period for close to 13 minutes.
With the win the Jets improve to 17-22-5 on the season.
Multi Point Game:
Cole Perfetti 2A
