When a team wins a Presidents’ Trophy as top team during the regular season it isn’t a surprise that individually players will be getting recognized for their achievements. Yesterday the NHL announced that Connor Hellebuyck had been named the winner of the Hart (MVP) and Vezina (Top goalie) which made him just the fifth goalie to achieve both those awards and the first in ten years.
The league also named their First All-Star and Second All-Star Teams.

Winnipeg had two players named to the First All-Star Team being goalie Connor Hellebuyck and left winger Kyle Connor. The speedy winger finished with his most points (97) ever in a season, most assists in a season (56)
Honourable mention to Josh Morrissey who finished just below Tampa Bay’s Victor Hedman for the D spot on the Second All-Star Team
