After not seeing Jets forward Rasmus Kupari for a couple of days on the ice we learned on Friday from head coach Scott Arniel that he had a minor setback which would require monitoring. He didn’t confirm the nature of the setback but the presumption was from the concussion he had suffered back on March 4th in a game against the Islanders in a collision with New York’s Hudson Fasching.

He returned to the lineup against the Capitals on March 25th where he only played 5:44, which was his lowest ice time of the season. His last shift was just 52 seconds in the 3rd period and it was his only shift of the final frame.
After the 3-1 win over the Canucks and with the Jets poised to head out west on the road for three games the bench boss in Winnipeg was asked about the status of Kupari. He indicated:
“Rasmus is kinda back in protocol here. He won’t be coming with us on the road trip.”
While Winnipeg has plenty of extra D they are now without an extra forward given Kupari’s status and Gabriel Vilardi being out week-to-week. So expect a recall from the Moose on Monday.
