Winnipeg Jets coach Scott Arniel indicates Morgan Barron is out week-to-week

Ahead of the Jets leaving for California where they will kick off six games on the road the team hit the ice in Winnipeg today for a practice. Absent from skate was centre Morgan Barron.

When head coach Scott Arniel was asked for an update he indicated:

“Morgan’s week-to-week. He got banged up in the 3rd period. We’ll get a little more evaluation when we get home from this road trip. He will be coming with us. But I don’t think he’ll be on the ice. Don’t quote me on that, he may get a chance at the end.”

Arniel said it was “in between” when asked if the injury was upper or lower body.

Re-watching Barron’s final shift of the 3rd period and nothing stands out. He got a hard check at the end of the shift.

Tough news for the centre who has had a really good start to the 2025-26 season.
