The Jets hit the ice for practice today following their loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday but reports indicated Jets top line winger Gabriel Vilardi wasn’t on the ice.

According to Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Free Press it isn’t good news regarding number 13:
“ Gabe Vilardi is week-to-week with an upper-body injury. It’s not related to the puck he took to the ear in the first period on Sunday.”
During his media availability, Jets Head Coach Scott Arniel indicated it was a freak accident which Jacob Stoller of Sportsnet appears to have found from the game against the Sabres:
Scott Arniel didn’t provide any details re: Gabriel Vilardi’s upper-body injury.
“You guys can go find it yourself but it was kind of a freak situation,” Arniel told reporters this morning.
