While I’m sure that Blake Wheeler isn’t losing any sleep from being snubbed from the 2016 All-Star Game, Jets fans are outraged that he was left off the squad. He has clearly been the Jets best player all season long amassing 10 goals 30 assists for 40 points in 40 games this season. This puts him 7th overall in the NHL scoring race and on pace for the highest total of his career.
Here are the list of forwards for the Central Division: Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane (Chicago), Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin (Dallas), Vladimir Tarasenko (St. Louis) and Matt Duchene(Colorado).
According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet:
Told Jets wanted Wheeler to go, but when you look at forwards for Central, there was no room — with every team getting one rep. Tough spot.

Ed Tait of the Winnipeg Free Press spoke to Blake Wheeler today in Dallas and this is what #26 had to say:
Blake Wheeler : “It is what it is. It’s a popularity contest; not going to lose any sleep over it” Will spend ASG break with his family

What do you think? Do you think it is a big deal that #26 was left off the All-Star roster?
