Winnipeg Jets Ben Chiarot fined for butt-ending Anaheim’s Corey Perry

A post-whistle scrum between Jets defenceman Ben Chairot and Ducks forward Corey Perry resulted in the butt ending of Perry. If you missed it the Ducks tweeted this video:

It wasn’t looking any better after the game with Frank Seravalli of TSN tweeting out this photo:

We spoke about it on today’s Illegal Curve Hockey Show and we felt it was only going to result in a fine.

Shortly after the show ended the Department of Player Safety tweeted out: “Ben Chiarot fined $3,763.44, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for butt-ending Anaheim’s Corey Perry.”
