Winnipeg Jets assign Sami Niku to the Manitoba Moose

The Jets final move to become roster compliant was to assign Sami Niku to the Manitoba Moose.  The smooth skating defenceman has been dealing with a groin injury throughout training camp and hasn’t had much skating with the main group.

I suspect he will be back up to the big club once he’s gotten some games under his belt in the AHL.

The Jets 23 man roster is set.
