The last few years when the Jets/Moose have needed to send a player to the ECHL they have primarily been sending those players to the Newfoundland Growlers who are officially affiliated with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Marlies.
After the Jets first moved to Winnipeg from Atlanta they had their first ECHL affiliate deal with the Colorado Eagles during the 2012-13 season. They then moved their affiliation to the Ontario Reign who were the primary affiliate of the Kings with the Jets playing a secondary role. That deal lasted two seasons.
They then moved on to the Tulsa Oilers for the 2015-16 season and that affiliation deal would last two seasons. From 2017 to 2021 the last ECHL connection they had where they had an official affiliation was with the Jacksonville Icemen.
As indicated above the last two seasons they have sent players to Newfoundland unless those players they were assigning had contracts with other ECHL clubs (i.e. Thomas Caron would be sent to the Trois-Rivieres Lions or Evan Cormier would head to the Kalamazoo Wings).
Now the team will be sending players to Norfolk, Virginia to play for the Admirals. They were most recently affiliated with the Carolina Hurricanes.
