Notable:
The pre-game ceremony was all about Connor Hellebuyck as the team honoured him for his 300th win, 500th NHL game and 40th shutout. Although there were huge cheers for both Dustin Byfuglien and Connor’s dad and the International Influencer Chuck Hellebuyck.
Neal Pionk moved past Jacob Trouba on the all-time games played list into sole possession of 12th with 409.
At this point it’s time the Jets hold a pre-game ceremony for video coach Matt Prefonatine who successfully initiated a challenge in the 1st period. How many times has he successfully initiated a good challenge for Winnipeg?
Eric Comrie was forced to make a stop as Logan Stanley goes for the hit along the wall.
After killing off three straight penalties the Jets got two straight power plays the second of which saw Mark Scheifele light the lamp in the 3rd to tie the game. Incredible pass by Gabriel Vilardi who set a career high for assists with 19.
OT was a bit chaotic but the Kings won it with a wicked shot. A shame given how good Eric Comrie played in the losing effort.
Multipoint Game:
None.
