We knew that Jets winger Cole Perfetti had filed for salary arbitration as the RFA looks for his next contract with Winnipeg. As Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff said the other day this is simply part of the process.

The good news for both sides is by having a set date it precludes the matter from dragging through the summer. According to the folks at PuckPedia the date for Perfetti’s arbitration has been set as Monday, July 20th.
Which means that both sides will have the next eight days to hammer out a deal before the hearing.
