Winnipeg Jets agree to terms with 2015 2nd rounder Jansen Harkins

The Jets second rounder from 2015 played completed his fourth full season with the Prince George Cougars to close out 2016-17.  In 64 games this year for Prince George he had 21 goals and 51 assistS and became the Cougars all-time scoring leader.

According to the Jets release it is a three year ELC.

Moose fans will recall that Harkins joined the Jets AHL squad at the end of the 2015-16 season playing six games for Manitoba on a Amateur Tryout Offer, which included scoring one goal and adding two assists.  Here was our initial chat with Harkins and former Moose coach Keith McCambridge about the prospect when he first arrived in Winnipeg last April.  Here is my chat with him at the end of season interviews.

I spoke with the prospect today after skate at the IcePlex.  Read it here.
