ChrisD:  Mike Keane returning for Celebrity Hockey Classic.  A good list of players coming to Winnipeg to help support this worthwhile charity.

The Province:  Kane on upward plane with Jets.  The former Vancouver Giants trio were all reunited last night on Long Island.  Kane especially is showing what he can do with added responsibility.

Illegal Curve:  Radio show preview.  Tomorrow’s show is going to be full of Jets action as the B side takes over the studio.  We are going to be chatting with Mike Harrington (Sabres beat writer), Andrew Gross (Rangers beat writer) and Matt Loughlin (Devils play-by-play).  If you have any questions, submit them as comments in the preview post.

Opposition news – New Jersey Devils:

TSN:  Devils’ Kovalchuk could be out against Jets.  He is being re-assessed today in order to determine if he is able to play tomorrow night against the Jets.

Star-Ledger:  Martin Brodeur says he will play Saturday for Devils.  It isn’t just the Jets who are dealing with injuries early on this season.  Good news for Devils fans is Marty Brodeur will be between the pipes on Saturday night.
