Daily Faceoff: Jets’ struggles go beyond injury to Connor Hellebuyck. Last I checked goalies (generally speaking) are not responsible for scoring goals and with Winnipeg a bottom team in terms of production, that has been as big a factor as their porous defence.
The Athletic: New top targets as activity picks up and sellers emerge. Chris has three Jets on this list including Luke Schenn (8th), Logan Stanley (16) and Brad Lambert (33). Not sure in what universe Logan Stanley is commanding 25 million with his next contract and I also find it a bit odd that he’s got Schenn so high.
Edmonton Journal: Embattled d-man latest Oilers player to get Knoblauch’s healthy scratch treatment. Get insight into the Jets opponent.

Jets video:
TSN: Facing a desperate Jets team, Oilers say limiting Winnipeg’s top line will be a team effort. The Jets may be in the midst of a 10-game losing streak but they still possess a dangerous top line. Oilers defenceman Darnell Nurse said limiting time and space for players like Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele will be key.
TSN: O-Dog on the Winnipeg Jets: ‘They’re in trouble’. Bryan Hayes, Jeff O’Neill and Jonas Siegel are joined by TSN Hockey analyst Frank Corrado to discuss the state of goaltending in the NHL and how the Winnipeg Jets went from Presidents Trophy winners last season to dead last in the NHL this year.
